About
Objective
KEIO symposium on microresonator frequency comb will taking place at Raiosha Building, Hiyoshi Campus, Keio University, Yokohama, Japan on December 4-6, 2018. This international symposium is intended to discuss and connect with researchers working on microresonator frequency comb and related technologies; but also including frequency comb technologies based on fiber laser, electro-optic modulator, and solid-state laser combs.
Scope
- Frequency comb technologies including fiber comb, EO comb, solid-state laser comb, and micro comb.
- Short pulse laser sources including soliton propagation (theory and experiments).
- Ultrahigh-Q microcavities, whispering gallery mode cavities and their applications (fabrication, characterization, design, nonlinear optics and other applications)

From the organizer
International Symposium on Microresonator Frequency comb will taking place at Raiosha Building, Hiyoshi Campus, Keio University, Yokohama, Japan on December 4-6, 2018. This symposium will give our attendants and presenters the opportunity to speak to and meet with researchers and distinguished keynote and invited speakers in this newly growing research area.
We are pleased to announce three keynote speakers, and more than 12 invited speakers. We also have contributed talks and a poster session to share latest research results during this three-day conference. Besides technical talks, Prof. Kohei Itoh, the Dean of Science and Technology Faculty in Keio University, will give a speech on the outlook of quantum research activities in Keio University, in the second day of the workshop. We also have some exhibition companies that are related closely to this emerging research field.
We greatly thank all the speakers and attendee for their contribution to this workshop.
Takasumi Tanabe (Professor, Keio University, Japan)
