BER in 300 GHz Band Transmission Using a Soliton Optical Comb < 10⁻⁹ Demonstrated for the First Time in the World
Using a soliton optical comb generated by a SiN microring, we demonstrated error-free transmission at 10 Gbit/s (BER < 10⁻⁹) in the 300 GHz band. This corresponds to fewer than one error per billion bits. Achieved without the use of error correction or advanced offline signal processing, this result represents a significant step toward realizing high-quality terahertz communications with a simple configuration.
